🐢 What’s New

Everything we have added, newest first. If you have been away for a while, this is what you missed.

  1. Practice nesting at your own pace

Coral Weave now has a nesting practice button with no timer. Lay up to 20 pretend eggs and finish whenever you like. Practice leaves your saved eggs and records unchanged.

    Try untimed nesting →
  2. Three new ways to explore the ocean

Steer with compass clues, match reef neighbours, or identify animals by their silhouettes. Take your time: all three activities offer untimed play.

    Explore the games →
  3. Six turtle pictures to make your own

Print a green turtle, a leatherback, a hatchling dash and more. Download the whole coloring pack for Letter or A4 paper, with a turtle fact on every sheet.

    Choose a picture →
  4. See your adventures grow

Your monthly calendar remembers the days you played. Finish a lifecycle with eggs to discover a make-believe shell pattern. Daily Migration also lets you race your own saved best path without a timer.

    Meet your turtle →
  5. Find out which sea turtle you are

Eight questions — what you would eat, how cold you like it, whether you want a crowd around you — and you find out which of the seven sea turtles you are. There are no wrong answers, and whichever one you get, everything it tells you about that turtle is true. You can make a picture of your turtle to send to a friend.

    Which one are you? →
  6. Your eggs follow you everywhere

Some of you were losing your eggs and turtles when you came back the next day. That is fixed — your collection stays put now. You can also grab a secret code on the My Turtle page and use it to bring your turtles to a different computer or tablet.

    Get your code →
  7. Play the big game on a phone

The full lifecycle game used to need a keyboard. Now there is a thumb stick and a big button, so you can hatch, swim and lay eggs on a phone or tablet.

    Play it →
  8. Eight turtles that actually look different

Every turtle you can buy is a real species with its own shell shape, pattern and head — a loggerhead has a huge head for cracking crabs, a leatherback has ridges instead of scutes. You can tell them apart at a glance now.

    See them all →
  9. One egg basket for every game

Eggs from every game now go into the same basket. Play Nest Dig, the Daily Migration, Coral Weave or the big game — it all adds up to the same pile, and you spend it in one place.

    Spend your eggs →
  10. New game: Nest Dig

Dig through the sand without disturbing a single turtle nest. There are three beaches — Tide Pool, Dune Walk and the Whole Beach — and each one pays eggs the first time you clear it each day.

    Start digging →
  11. Play the puzzles you missed

Missed a Daily Migration? You can go back and play any day you like from the archive. Old days do not pay eggs, but they are still fun to beat.

    Open the archive →
  12. The turtle stopped being laggy

The games used to stutter, especially on tablets. They now run smoothly and at the same speed on every device, so nobody gets an unfairly fast or slow turtle.

    Try Coral Weave →
  13. Compare all seven sea turtles

How heavy is a leatherback? Which turtle is the rarest? Line all seven species up side by side and find out.

    Compare them →
  14. The Daily Migration Challenge

A brand new puzzle every single day, the same one for everybody. Finish it and you get a little picture of your journey you can share with a friend. There is a hard mode called Ironshell if you want a real fight.

    Play today’s →
  15. Turtle facts, Pollution Sort and the Temperature Lab

Twenty articles answering the questions kids actually ask — do sea turtles have teeth, can they breathe underwater, do they cry — plus two new science games about ocean rubbish and how the sand decides whether a hatchling is a boy or a girl.
